About the Role

The Lead, Teaching Pathways, plays a key role in strengthening employment pathways into public education, helping ensure every learner has access to great teachers. In this role you will build and maintain strategic partnerships with Initial Teacher Education (ITE) providers, while leading programs such as special authority to teach and earn‐while‐you‐learn initiatives. Through this work you'll help create accessible, high‐quality pathways for future educators. Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, you will manage high‐level relationships with the wider Employment Programs and Attraction team, HR Business Partners, and Recruitment teams to improve employment outcomes for pre‐service teachers. This role offers the opportunity to work with purpose in a dynamic and evolving environment, requiring strong strategic planning, program management and stakeholder engagement skills to influence system‐wide improvements.

Qualifications

* Essential: Nil
* Desirable: Qualification in project management, leadership and management or appropriate discipline, or relevant experience.

Special Conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed and renew it every five years before expiry. The incumbent must undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course, which will be updated every three years. For all other special conditions please refer to the attached Position Description.

Remuneration

ASO7 $112,163–$121,246 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
