Your Opportunity
* To provide specialised clinical and consultancy services regarding patient flow for General Medicine inpatients as part of a multidisciplinary service. This includes a consideration of alternate discharge pathways as necessary.
* To provide advanced clinical skills in the area of Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy including assessment, treatment, and discharge planning of medical inpatients.
* In collaboration with Medical and Nursing colleagues, at a ward and service level, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical pathways that address complex patient needs across the continuum.
* Providing service wide Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy clinical and professional advice on specialised clinical areas and service delivery models in the area of General Medicine inpatient services.
Qualifications and other requirements
* Physiotherapists: Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Physiotherapist and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
* Occupational Therapists: Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as an Occupational Therapist and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential.
* The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in a Health Practitioner Discipline and be registered with the Allied Health Professional Registrations Agency (AHPRA) or membership with the relevant allied health registration board and/or professional body.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and, if applicable, registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager before the commencement of clinical duties.
* It is highly desirable to possess a post graduate qualification or equivalent demonstrated expertise in rehabilitative allied health practice. The position requires significant post graduate experience and expertise in a high‐risk inpatient environment and relevant professional development, or post graduate qualifications are required.
* There may be a requirement for this position to work a 7‐day roster/weekends to deliver support to inpatients and assist with hospital discharge or transfer of care.
* This position involves manual tasks and assistance. Applicants will be expected to cope with the physical demands of this position.

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $145,360 p.a., comprising salary rates $73.13 - $76.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Level) (Permanent Part Time, 64 hours p.f.).
