This is a Permanent Full-time position, working with a supportive team.The successful candidate will support children remaining in their parents' care or assist with reunification efforts for children involved with Child Safety. You will work alongside a team with diverse experience, guided by a Team Manager and Senior Program Manager.Salary: $85,126.00 per annum (SCHADS Level 4) plus superannuation, with salary packaging options available.This role involves but is not limited to:Engaging family members respectfully within the program’s theoretical framework to promote dignity and self-determination.Utilizing the Strengthening Families Framework to support families in identifying strengths, barriers, goals, and actions.Assessing family resources, including external support systems.Helping families set meaningful, achievable goals for change, leveraging their resources.Developing parents' practical skills to care for their children, improve family safety, and strengthen attachment within a strengths-based, evidence-informed framework.About YouTo be successful, you will possess:A Degree in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.Ability to obtain a positive notice in the legislatively required personal history check.Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s License.Current and valid Paid Blue Card (Queensland Working with Children Check) or the ability to apply.Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.Why Mercy Community?Mercy Community is a Catholic not-for-profit organization providing services supporting families, young people, and the elderly.
