Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD scholar to collaborate with our team at the Computational Protein Engineering group. Our mission is to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for bioproduction and bioremediation challenges using cutting-edge experimental and computational methods.
The successful candidate will work on enhancing the activity, selectivity, and stability of monooxygenases, as well as strain engineering for high-throughput screening of enzyme libraries. They will also be responsible for setting up analytics, protein expression, purification, and characterization using biochemical and biophysical assays.
Our project focuses on developing novel methods to engineer proteins more effectively using machine learning. We currently investigate enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of natural products and biochemicals, as well as in the breakdown of greenhouse gases including CO2 and CH4.
