About the opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Clerical Officer to join our Development Assessment team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This role will support the Portal and Gateway Administration Team and play a key part in the day‐to‐day operations of Council's Development Services Section by:
* Processing applications lodged through the NSW Planning Portal
* Providing administrative support to Development Assessment and Development Services staff
* Delivering high‐quality customer service to residents, applicants, consultants and other stakeholders
* Assisting customers with enquiries relating to planning and development processes
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and legislative requirements
* Providing advice and support to internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive customer outcomes
Qualifications and experience
* Minimum of 12 months' work experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations
* Demonstrated commitment to customer service
* Ability to work within a team environment
* Availability to work flexible working hours
* Current Class C driver's licence
* Relevant office experience and good keyboard skills
* Ability to deal efficiently with multiple tasks
* Data entry experience, high volume
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
* Entry level for this position starts at $1,315.70 per week
