What are we looking for?
We are now seeking a Project Manager (PMe) to lead development activities in our Vehicle Engineering group within GTT Australia.
Responsibilities
* The main purpose of this position is to lead the Product Development activities for the complete project in the GTT Vehicle Engineering group in Australia.
* The position is accountable to deliver a verified and validated product i.e. vehicle architecture, vehicle systems and functions (HW / SW), according to agreed product QDCF targets (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features).
* The technical solutions should also be in line with approved cross-functional technology strategies and platform objectives.
* With customer focus as a key driver, key challenges in the role will be to propose complete vehicle architecture solutions for proposed projects for decision.
* Once decided, then lead the engineering activities to deliver the decided technical solutions in an organised, efficient and proactive manner according to commitments.
* Coordination and utilisation of our local and global engineering networks and competences will also be a key challenge for the role.
Qualifications
* Masters of Science Degree in Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering equivalent.
* 5+ years' experience in automotive engineering development environment.
* Displays excellent planning, organisational and resource management skills.
* Good knowledge of general engineering development methods and systems, especially for heavy vehicles.
* Ability to work in a global engineering environment but maintain a local perspective to find the best vehicle solutions for the customer.
* Competent computer skills in Microsoft Project, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
