Responsibilities
* Support delivery of geotechnical, pavements and materials investigations across infrastructure design, construction and maintenance projects.
* Plan, conduct and lead geotechnical investigations both in the office and in variable terrain; apply strong knowledge of WHS and environmental requirements for fieldwork and site supervision.
* Apply sound scientific analysis and judgement in a multidisciplinary environment involving field, laboratory and desktop investigations.
* Contribute accurate data, reporting and technical input to support safe, durable, value‑for‑money transport outcomes.
Qualifications
* Hold a degree qualification in geology, geophysics or a related science/engineering discipline.
* Hold a current driver licence and be willing to undertake fieldwork outside regular working hours and travel on occasion.
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail, analytical skills and proficiency in data collection, interpretation and application of scientific and technical standards.
* Bring experience in geotechnical, materials or pavements services to support evidence‑based infrastructure decisions.
