Protech SA is currently seeking a Workshop Manager for a well-established Australian manufacturer of high-quality switchboards and engineered electrical solutions.
About the Role
* Full time hours on offer, salary negotiated based on skills and experience
* 38-hour week (Monday to Friday) + weekend overtime available
* Leadership role with full ownership of a specialised division
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction and electrical manufacturing who can take full ownership of the end-to-end build of skid-mounted systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end manufacture of skid-mounted systems
* Oversee workshop operations including fabrication, assembly, and electrical integration
* Coordinate schedules, labour, and workflow to meet project deadlines
* Ensure all builds meet quality standards, client specifications, and compliance requirements
* Lead and mentor workshop teams, driving performance and accountability
* Work closely with engineering, project management, and clients
* Maintain a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement
About You
* Proven experience in a workshop, construction, or manufacturing environment
* Strong background in electrical systems and/or switchboard manufacturing
* Experience overseeing projects from start to finish
* Hands‐on leadership style with the ability to manage trades and technical teams
* Solid understanding of workshop processes, safety, and compliance
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
