Trade Assistant - Oil & Gas Machine Shop - With Bonuses!

Due to continued growth and the opening of our new facility in Gap Ridge, Karratha, we are seeking a hands-on Trade Assistant who values efficiency, quality, and safety.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped workshop and gain exposure to advanced industrial processes. With the right attitude and performance, there are genuine opportunities to progress into fitting / machinist trades qualifications with Bossong Engineering. Bossong Engineering also offers Retention bonuses at 6 and 12 months to maintain a stable team.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with production tasks across our oil & gas machine shop
* Operate high pressure industrial washers
* Operate automated surface coating equipment and automated cleaning systems
* Forklift operation and safe material handling
* Assist with machine and equipment maintenance
* Follow strict safety, quality, and operational procedures
About You
* Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills
* Current forklift licence with proven experience
* Right to work in Australia, with good written and verbal communication skills
* Prior experience in manufacturing, mining, or oil & gas industries is desirable but not essential
* Safety-focused, proactive, and reliable – a genuine "can-do" attitude

We operate a safe, modern workshop and pride ourselves on our strong safety record. This role is Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm, with regular overtime available.
