As a Maintenance Fitter, your key responsibilities include:
- Performing breakdown repairs using advanced fault diagnosis techniques to minimize downtime.
- Identifying and proposing enhancements to plant and equipment to optimize efficiency, yield, and safety.
- Strengthening system reliability through proactive preventive maintenance measures.
- Collaborating on cross-functional projects to support engineering in plant modifications or new installations.
- Engaging in Continuous Improvement initiatives and implementing 5S practices.
- Providing innovative solutions to production challenges related to plant throughput.
- Maintaining meticulous and up-to-date maintenance records.
Essential qualifications and requirements for these roles:
- Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter (dual trade highly regarded).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- A steadfast commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) principles.
- Exceptional diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and the interpretation of technical drawings.
- Exposure to or experience with Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Familiarity with robotic systems (desirable but not essential).
- Experience in computerized maintenance management systems (SAP highly desirable).
