Position
The role is for an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Department of Launceston General Hospital (LGH), a major emergency service for Northern Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advanced autonomous clinical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients within the approved scope of practice.
* Lead through education, mentorship, service development and quality improvement efforts.
* Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and flow.
Qualifications and Experience
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner, with ongoing compliance maintained.
* Extensive contemporary Emergency Department experience with advanced assessment, diagnostic reasoning and autonomous clinical decision-making skills.
* Proven leadership, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to drive quality improvement, education and positive patient outcomes.
Working Hours and Salary
* Permanent full‐time day worker position working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team.
* Salary of $148,470 per annum, with an Employer 12% superannuation contribution.
* Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
