About the role
Shape land access outcomes that power essential energy operations and lead impactful negotiations to build trusted landholder relationships. The role is based in Roma or Brisbane.
As an Agreements Advisor, you play a key role in shaping how we partner with landholders and stakeholders, leading agreement negotiations, providing expert advice, and ensuring access arrangements are delivered smoothly, compliantly, and with care.
Responsibilities
* Deliver critical land access agreements that enable safe and sustainable gas operations.
* Lead complex negotiations with landholders and legal representatives to achieve balanced and commercially sound outcomes.
* Provide trusted legal advice on property and contract related matters.
* Lead and influence negotiation strategies and help solve complex land access challenges in a dynamic environment.
* Provide advice on legal and regulatory obligations (including Petroleum & Gas Act, Land Access Code and related frameworks) to manage risk and support compliant land access delivery.
* Simplify processes and improve ways of working to enhance efficiency across the business.
Qualifications
* A law degree and solid experience delivering land access, property or commercial agreements.
* Strong negotiation and conflict management skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
* Experience managing complex issues and driving solutions in fast-paced environments.
* Sound understanding of legal frameworks relevant to land access, ideally within the energy or resources sector.
* A collaborative mindset, with strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions‐focused approach.
