**Underground Mining Engineer Role Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Underground Mining Engineer to join our team at Cowal Gold Operation. This is a key role in supporting our expanding underground operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating mine designs and schedules that drive safe and efficient production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generate mine designs and schedules that drive safe and efficient production outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with the Senior Mining Engineer to ensure alignment with site goals and objectives.
* Contribute to the development of continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
* Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
* 2–5 years' experience in underground mining (startup experience advantageous).
* Familiarity with NSW regulatory frameworks and risk management practices.
* Proficiency in mine design software, ideally Deswik CAD and Interactive Scheduler.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
* A proactive, self-directed approach and commitment to safety excellence.
