The Commission is responsible for end-to-end oversight of the aged care sector and plays a vital role in protecting the safety, health, well-being and quality of life of older Australians. Through active regulation and engagement with providers and consumers, the Commission helps safeguard standards and build public trust in the aged care system.The Commission is currently seeking visionary and principled senior leaders to fill multiple Executive Director (SES Band 1) roles. Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner, Regulatory Operations, these positions span a range of key functions including audit, regulatory operations, provider registration, and quality assurance. This process will also be used to create a merit pool for relevant future vacancies.Each role contributes to ensuring that aged care providers deliver safe, high-quality and accountable services. As an Executive Director, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, influence regulatory practices, and engage effectively with government, providers, and the broader community to strengthen outcomes for older people.To be successful in these roles, you will bring a strong track record in regulatory leadership, risk-based decision-making, and oversight of quality and performance in complex environments. Experience in aged care, health, human services, or other regulated sectors is highly regarded.
