About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Medium Term Planning Engineer. You will be responsible for owning the 1-3 year budget mining scheduling, while maintaining delivery of the monthly short-range forecast. Your key objectives include:
* Own, manage and deliver the rolling 12-month schedule, delivering monthly short-range forecast schedules.
* Review operational performance and engage with associated stakeholders to ensure alignment on schedule inputs, working closely with short-term planning and production engineers.
* Integrate optimised mine designs and ensure alignment with the Life-of-Mine (LOM) plan.
* Identify and communicate key schedule risks, updating and maintaining critical path packs.
* Continuously improve mine planning systems, guidelines and processes, embracing best practice and innovation.
* Collaborate on project work with Long-Term Planning and Group teams, including alternate ore source studies.
This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and stay on track to meet our production and safety goals.
About you

You will bring:
* A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
* Strong technical and operational mining experience, preferably in sub-level caving or similar.
* Proven skills in mine planning, scheduling and design, with high proficiency in Deswik and related software.
* A structured approach to critical path management and schedule optimisation.
* Clear communication skills – verbal, written and graphical – with the ability to engage effectively across teams.
* A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and commitment to mentoring and developing others.
