Your new role as Territory Specialist - Central, West Brisbane, Rockhampton & Townsville
As a Territory Specialist for the area you will be responsible for liaising with diabetes specialists such as endocrinologists, diabetes educators, advance trainers & GPs to advocate the organisation's medical device and its treatment in type 1 and type 2 diabetic patients.
The travel to Rockhampton or Townsville will be once a month.
As the Territory Specialist, you will be the face of the organisation across this large, dynamic region. This is a high-impact, autonomous role focused on driving both sales and clinical adoption of our life-changing device.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
The position is accountable for all sales and promotional activity in a defined sales territory in hospitals with Specialist Endocrinologists, Diabetes Educators, Advanced Trainees as well General Practice / Pharmacy. There will be a focus on identifying opportunities, a hunger for acquiring new business, while growing all existing accounts.
Implement specific sales strategies (developed in conjunction with the line manager and / or other commercial team members) for targeted accounts and ensure positive sales outcome.
Initiate the development of close relationships with key accounts.
Carry out Sales Calls.
Prospect new business opportunities with current and new company products
Prepare proposals for business opportunities
Understand the competitor's environment. This includes the following : a) Gain knowledge of competitor product offering; b). Identify competitor product strengths and weaknesses
What they are looking for :
Tertiary qualification in a Science discipline is ideal
Relevant industry sales experience in medical devices or pharmaceuticals, however, strong customer facing experience as a health care professional in the diabates space is also seen is advantageous.
Proven track record in delivering sales targets with demonstrated proficiency with selling skills in a sales framework is advantageous
Customer-centric mindset, active listening, genuine empathy and a strong desire to resolve issues; deliver a high level of customer focused service to internal and external customers
