Immediate start for an Employee Relations Specialist
My client is seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting employees and safeguarding workplace standards.
What you’ll do
- Conduct confidential investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and alleged misconduct (including bullying, harassment, discrimination, and policy breaches).
- Ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreements, organisational policies, procedural fairness, natural justice, and relevant employment laws.
- Prepare detailed reports and evidence matrices, summarising findings, conclusions, and recommendations for senior management.
- Manage the full case lifecycle: intake, risk assessment, planning, interviews, evidence review, analysis, and recommendations.
- Engage sensitively with employees at all levels, including union representatives and front-line staff.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Present findings and recommendations to leaders and advise HR Business Partners on next steps.
- Keep accurate case files that can withstand internal and external scrutiny, including potential legal proceedings.
What we’re looking for
- Strong knowledge of employment law, workplace legislation, and HR policies.
- Proven experience conducting workplace investigations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
