Heavy Vehicle Operators Wanted
The Underground Heavy Vehicle Operator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of underground mining equipment. They are responsible for conducting routine checks, identifying potential hazards, and taking corrective action to maintain a productive work environment.
About You:
* A valid Australian driver's license is essential for this position
* You will be expected to demonstrate a high standard of safe behavior, with a strong focus on teamwork and work ethic
* The ability to follow safety procedures and directives is critical for success in this role
* You must be willing to work in confined spaces and adapt to changing conditions
* Working independently, with minimal supervision, requires effective communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
* Multiple responsibilities will be assigned to you, requiring flexibility and multitasking skills
* Building relationships with colleagues through active listening and effective communication is vital for success
* Adhering to company policies and expectations, while fostering a respectful workplace culture, is essential for this role
* Residency in Ballarat or surrounding areas is highly preferred
* Prior experience driving heavy vehicles, particularly in mining, construction, earth-moving, or semi-rigid environments, is highly desirable
* An MR/HR license is mandatory for this position
* Previous underground experience and familiarity with JSA's, step-backs, Take 5's etc., will be viewed favorably
* This role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week
