Our beautiful Bolton Clarke Farnorha community is centrally located in a quiet area of Westcourt in Cairns, in the tropical Far North. The community provides high-quality aged care in a friendly, secure, and comfortable environment.
We are seeking our next Cook to join the team for a fixed term of 3 months, full-time hours, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Duties include:
Taking direction from the Chef Manager
Assisting with cooking high-quality, nutritious meals for our senior residents
Ensuring all food is prepared, cooked, and served in accordance with legislation
To be successful, you will have:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar
Food Handling and Hygiene certificate
Experience in a commercial kitchen within aged care or hospital (preferable)
Bulk cooking experience (highly desirable)
Experience with texture-modified food (advantageous)
Valid working rights in Australia (passport, birth certificate, etc.)
Police Check (valid within the last 3 years)
Evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations in line with current requirements
