About the Role
The Weddings and Events Sales Executive is responsible for planning and delivery of weddings and social events at Hotel Realm & Shaw Estate. This role involves ensuring clear communication with a variety of different departments as well as providing exceptional service and experiences for our guests and customers.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
* Drive wedding and social event revenue results for Hotel Realm and Shaw Estate including corporate events at Shaw Estate
* Canberra based position with 2 days per week at Doma's latest Restaurant venture at our stunning Shaw Estate
* Ability to work a regular working week from Tuesday – Saturday
* Providing an exceptional guest experience at all touch points across the client customer journey
* Driving sales by providing accurate and timely quotations and contracts for conferences and events, covering venue, menu and accommodation costs to enhance the success of events
* Conduct site inspections on-site ensuring brand standards, service quality and guest satisfaction are upheld
* Develop and implement appropriate strategies to drive new business into Realm and Shaw Estate including new business opportunities
* Develop and maintain a contact and customer database with IVvy / Tripleseat
To be considered for this role you will have:
* Proven experience in a weddings or events sales position within the hospitality, events, or luxury service industries
* Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and stakeholders
* Well-developed organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Business development skills and the ability to drive new business and nurture enquiries
* Excellent time management, with the ability to manage multiple events and tight deadlines
* Knowledge of Tripleseat and IvvY event management systems desirable
* Impeccable grooming, presentation, and a polished, welcoming demeanor
* A friendly, outgoing personality and the ability to offer outstanding service
* Weekend and evening availability when required
