About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HV Electrical Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely estimates for high-voltage construction projects across Queensland. You will play a key role in supporting Asset Power Solutions continued success by delivering cost-effective solutions, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring seamless handovers to our project delivery teams. The size of the project you will be estimating on from $10,000 to $10 million dollars.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and analyse engineering drawings, project specifications, and tender documentation.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for HV construction projects, including materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor costs.
* Issue and manage RFQs, negotiate with suppliers, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Attend site inspections and pre-tender meetings to assess project scope and risk.
* Prepare and submit tender documentation and proposals within required deadlines and company standards.
* Maintain and update unit pricing databases and estimating tools.
* Collaborate closely with operations and clients to clarify scope and deliver complete project handovers.
About You
* Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, ideally within LV, MV or HV construction project environments.
* Are you a LV estimator looking to make the move into HV estimating.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and specifications.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
* Proficiency in estimating and CRM software (e.g. Simpro) preferred.
* A proactive, solutions focused attitude and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
