Our Grocery & Retail business is a startup within Uber, a team focussed on growth and innovation, but with the support and leverage of Uber's large global ridesharing and delivery businesses. We own the delivery of everything that isn't restaurant food - think groceries, essentials, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, and (in the future) many more retail categories... We have bold ambitions for our Grocery & Retail business globally, having already scaled it to a $10b AUD ARR turnover and growing at 40%+ YoY - and we're really only just getting started!
**About The Role**:
Come drive growth in a quick paced, dynamic business. The Grocery & Retail Team is on a mission to help Aussies and Kiwis get almost, almost anything delivered. As a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for addressing emerging opportunities and challenges that can help accelerate growth for the Grocery & Retail business. You will work cross-functionally with team members across Commercial, Product and Delivery teams to identify, scope, and deliver a variety of special projects.
**Your Impact in Role**:
- Own the strategy and execution of special projects aimed at addressing unique opportunities and challenges in the Grocery & Retail business. This may include large-scale product rollouts or incubating new growth avenues.
- Contribute to long-term strategic initiatives, supporting the leadership team with key insights, strategic recommendations, and project execution.
- Conduct data analysis using SQL and Google Sheets to support your recommendations and present insights to business leaders.
- Design and implement solutions that scale and measure the impact of the strategies you execute in order to drive continuous improvement across the business.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams (across Operations, Commercial, Product) to align on project goals and ensure timely execution.
**The Experience You'll Bring**:
- Quantitative degree and 5+ years of operational and analytical experience gained in a tech company, strategy consulting, finance, or other relevant industry
- Customer-centric thinking and a continuous improvement mindset
- Analytics - experience dealing with complex data sets using excel/google sheets (SQL a plus), deriving insights, checking against what you see in the real world and synthesising recommendations
- Project ownership and delivery - demonstrated ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, plan and prioritise workstreams across multiple projects and complete tasks with a high attention to detail
