About the role
The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for the provision of comprehensive care of a specific group of patients requiring escort from the Day of Surgery Admission (DOSA) Unit or Inpatient wards to the Preoperative service Unit. This role involves giving a comprehensive clinical handover and ensuring patients are safe and feeling supported in their preoperative care.
Your main duties will include:
* Providing comprehensive handover utilising the preoperative handover and checklist process from the ward or DOSA to the Perioperative Services team
About you
* Registered with AHPRA
* 2-3 years' experience as an Enrolled Nurse position
* Experience working in Surgical Services
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated competence as nurse clinician
* Demonstrated contribution to teamwork and quality and safety initiatives
