Position Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the sales function for a newly established telecommunications provider in Australia. This role requires a strategic and results-driven professional who can build a high-performing sales team, drive subscriber growth, and establish strong customer and partner relationships across mobile, NBN, and related telecommunications services.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to achieve subscriber and revenue targets
* Build, mentor, and manage a sales team, ensuring high performance and accountability
* Establish sales processes, onboarding flows, reporting methods, and performance metrics
* Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and channel strategies
* Oversee B2C and B2B sales initiatives across mobile, NBN, and value-added telecom services
* Collaborate with marketing and operations to ensure alignment and effective customer acquisition
* Monitor competitor activities and market trends to inform sales planning
* Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and pipeline updates for leadership
* Ensure compliance with all industry, regulatory, and internal standards
* Represent the business at events, presentations, and partner meetings as required
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sales Manager, ideally within telecommunications or a related industry
* Strong understanding of consumer and business telecommunications products and sales cycles
* Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
* High level of professionalism, organisation, and strategic thinking
Desirable
* Experience with telecom platforms such as CRM, billing systems, and provisioning tools
* Prior involvement in launching or scaling a new product or service line

Pay: $67,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
