About the role We have opportunities for RN1 and RN2 to provide high-quality nursing and midwifery care in the Child and Family Health Service and other community settings. Develop your skills from novice or competent to proficient practice, take accountability for your own practice and delegated activities, and support less experienced staff as you grow in your career. Key duties of the role Assess client needs and provide person-centred care Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines Support student learning and staff development Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice Provide guidance to less experienced staff Specific to RN2 – Clinical Nurse: Oversee team/unit care and support patient flow Lead portfolios or unit-specific responsibilities Contribute to organisation-wide projects or guidelines Skills and Experience Registered Nurse or Midwife with current AHPRA registration Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills Ability to prioritise workload and apply flexibility in care Demonstrated competence in safe, high-quality nursing/midwifery practice Knowledge of legislation, standards, and quality improvement systems Specific to RN2 – Clinical Nurse: Minimum 3 years post-registration experience Experience supervising students, enrolled nurses, and less experienced staff Enquiries can be directed to Nicole Branch – Regional Team Manager, 0466 860 536 Want to learn more about career opportunities at WCHN?
