Disability Support Worker (Female Only) – Mental Health Experience Required | Frankston VIC
We are looking for an experienced female Disability Support Worker to support a middle-aged male participant based in Frankston.
About the Participant
The participant is a middle-aged man with a history of mental health. He is relatively independent but requires consistent support to maintain his wellbeing, routine, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Community access support (outings, shopping, appointments)
* Meal preparation and support with maintaining a healthy routine
* Light domestic duties (cleaning, general household upkeep)
* Transport to activities and appointments
* Providing companionship and emotional support
* Encouraging independence while offering appropriate guidance
Essential Requirements
* Female candidate (genuine occupational requirement)
* Extensive experience supporting individuals with mental health
* Relevant qualifications in Mental Health, Disability, Community Services, or similar
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Current First Aid & CPR certification
* Valid Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
* Robust communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and follow care/support plans
Desirable
* Experience working with NDIS participants
* Understanding of recovery-oriented and person-centred approaches
