You will:
* Lead and deliver First Nations employment pathways programs that create meaningful employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, including job readiness, recruitment support, and post‐placement engagement.
* Build strong partnerships and drive inclusive employment outcomes by collaborating with Council teams, community organisations, employers, and external partners to identify opportunities and remove barriers to employment.
* Advance Council's First Nations employment and cultural safety commitments by implementing initiatives aligned with the Marrigeil Strategy and Closing the Gap targets, while advocating for culturally safe workplaces and supporting First Nations staff networks.
What you'll bring / what we are looking for
* Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, community engagement and cultural protocols.
* Demonstrated experience in program delivery and project management.
* Demonstrated knowledge of inclusive employment practices and ability to advocate for access and equity of employment across Council.
* Experienced delivering employment, community development or inclusion programs.
* Ability to build trusted relationships and advocate for inclusive employment practices.
* Commitment to access, equity, cultural safety and self‐determination.

What we offer
* A permanent, part‐time role (30.4 hours per week – Monday to Thursday)
* Salary range $78,604.02 to $85,456.70 per annum plus super (dependent on experience). For comparison, at full‐time, this is equivalent to $98,255.03 to $106,820.88 per annum.
