You will be part of a fast‐paced, ambitious environment where engineering decisions have real influence on delivery across Victoria.
About the Role:
Based at our Melbourne office, we are seeking a Design Technician - Construction Services to join our growing and dynamic team. In this role, you will:
* Produce high‐quality detailed engineering drawings in software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
* Foster collaboration between disciplines and project team members, both internal and external, to ensure consistent and coordinated design and documentation.
* Maintain an understanding of construction methodology to inform design.
* Preferred to have an understanding of relevant Australian Standards and Codes, drafting requirements for local authorities and government departments.
* Enjoy working in a collaborative team.
* Comfortable leading and influencing others.
Qualifications and Skills:
* 3+ years of demonstrated experience in the design and documentation of temporary works and/or construction engineering using software like Revit and AutoCAD.
* Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design.
* Exposure to and experience in construction practice and standards.
* Good knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Codes.
* Preferred to have knowledge of concrete and steel detailing, construction methods and their impact on design.
* Experience in preparing detailed engineering drawings and construction documentation commensurate with the level of duties.
* The ability to scope project work, set time allocations, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
