The Role

This is a pivotal role for an experienced clinical and service leader who is motivated by impact, collaboration and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of our client services, strengthen sustainable and responsive service models, and help deliver meaningful outcomes for individuals, families and communities across Victoria.

Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Manager Client Services provides strategic and operational leadership across our diverse client service portfolio, including:

* Family Dispute Resolution
* Mental Health and Financial Counselling
* Older Persons Services
* Client Intake and Customer Service

This role balances strong clinical leadership with a focus on sustainability, systems thinking and service efficiency. You will work closely with Executive colleagues, funders and partners to ensure our services remain high quality, person‐centred, financially sustainable and aligned to community need.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will contribute to organisational strategy, funding growth, and the ongoing evolution of Better Place Australia's sector‐leading service delivery model.

What You Will Lead
* Strategic and operational leadership across key service areas, including Family Dispute Resolution, Mental Health and Financial Counselling, Older Persons Services, and Client Intake and Customer Service.
* The ongoing development of high-quality, person-centred, and financially sustainable service models aligned to community need.
* Clinical governance and service excellence across multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong partnerships with Executive colleagues, funders, and sector stakeholders to support integrated, responsive service delivery.
* Continuous improvement, service performance, and system efficiency to maximise client outcomes and organisational impact.
Who We Are Looking For
* A collaborative and thoughtful leader who is prepared to challenge how things are done and brings insight, curiosity, and an entrepreneurial mindset to complex environments.
* Senior leadership experience within the for‐purpose sector, including community health, mental health, family services, or broader human services.
* Strong clinical and service leadership capability across complex, multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience or understanding of older persons services, including elder abuse and safeguarding frameworks.
* Knowledge of family violence systems and their application to client safety and risk management.
* A deep understanding of Federal and Victorian funding, governance, and compliance frameworks.
* A track record of driving service quality, outcomes, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* Confidence engaging with funders, partners, and sector leaders.
* A strong commitment to person‐centred, trauma‐informed and culturally safe practice.

Employment Details

This is a full‐time role; however, for the right applicant part time (0.8/0.9 FTE) may be considered. The role is based at our Cheltenham, Victoria site; however, travel to other locations may be required from time to time.
