Shalom Elders Village
A sanctuary of comfort, care and tranquillity set in a quiet Townsville suburb. With 28 beds catering to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Shalom provides comfortable residential aged care in a culturally supportive environment, while building connections with First Nations groups in the Townsville community.
Pinangba is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander led service delivery arm of UnitingCare. The foundations of Pinangba are built from our cultural identity and strong community relationships and partnerships.
Your part in our team
As a Hospitality Officer, you will support the delivery of our services, ensuring business operations run efficiently and our clients and residents receive an exceptional experience.
You will:
* Support senior hospitality staff members with daily operations, including housekeeping and laundry services.
* Prepare, cook and deliver food in adherence to Australian food safety standards and the dietary requirements of our residents.
* Uphold impeccable hygiene standards.
What makes a difference for us?
* Prior hospitality experience in kitchen or cleaning.
* Ability to work independently in a kitchen environment.
* Enthusiasm and strong self‐motivation.
* Great communication skills and an excellent attention to detail.
* Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
