This is for aPermanent Full-Time appointment at 76 hours perfortnight.An opportunityexists for a talented and enthusiastic Staff Development Nurseto join the Population Health team at Hedland Health Campus inthe Pilbara.To be successful, you willhave...Clinical knowledgeand experience in the delivery of evidenced based nursingcare in the primary health setting, and ability to act as aclinical resource in the development of otherstaff.Knowledge andunderstanding of cultural factors and social determinantsparticularly relating to Aboriginal health.Knowledge andapplication of adult learning principles in relation to thefacilitation of learning, teaching and training groups orindividuals.Effectivecommunication (written and verbal), interpersonal,negotiation and conflict resolution skills with an abilityto liaise effectively with clients, individuals and otherteam members.Demonstrated computerliteracy and ability to utilise and demonstrated experience/knowledge inproviding immunisation services.PositionProfile:In collaboration with the Clinical NurseManagers and members of the Pilbara Population Health Unitmanagement team, the Staff Development Nurse plans, implementsand evaluates education and training relevant to the clinicalpractice of the designated clinical area. This positionprovides appropriate clinical support and delivers training andeducation for community health nurses and other staff asappropriate. This position is responsible for orientation andclinical education to promote the development of culturallyappropriate clinical competencies, of all nursing staff; and inparticular newly qualified and junior nurses.
