About The Opportunity
This is a
permanent full-time
opportunity, working Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times between 7:00 am – 3:06 pm or 8:00 am – 4:06 pm. As the Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs for our
Carrington Retirement Village
in Parkinson. Your ability to foster strong relationships with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.
Responsibilities
Hands-on repairs and maintenance
General maintenance: painting, plastering, equipment repairs, installing doors, cupboards/shelves, and designing garden layout
Monitor stock levels of consumables and reorder where required
Respond to maintenance issues, including requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner

To be successful, you will have
Experience in maintenance and grounds duties, preferably in an aged care environment
Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience
Current valid driver's licence
Evidence of Australian work rights
NDIS workers screening (or willingness to obtain)
Flu vaccination (recommended)
A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
Availability to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
