Job Role
We are seeking an experienced Tasmanian ICT Professional to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the lifecycle management of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products within our agency. This includes developing strong working relationships with business owners, vendors, and support agents to deliver excellent customer service.
The role requires providing technical advice and support, as well as researching information technology trends to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Providing customer service to our computing environment following ITSM principles.
* Developing and maintaining documentation, including technical and build documents, business processes, end-user instructions, and business communications.
* Undertaking project management and delivery of ICT projects.
* Mentoring junior staff in the Enterprise Systems team particularly in relation to quality of service and meeting performance targets.
* Researching and planning initiatives for new and emerging technologies that may provide a benefit to the agency with a focus on COTS products.
The ideal candidate will have professional IT knowledge gained through satisfactory completion of a relevant course of study at a tertiary institution and appropriate industry certificates. Experience with critical 24x7 applications, support of database environments including Microsoft SQL Server, and experience with the implementation and support of Office 365 applications would be highly desirable.
