West Wallsend Public School is a comprehensive co‐educational primary school serving Kindergarten to Year 6 students in the West Wallsend area. Specific Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach infants and/or primary with a demonstrated ability to lead and implement whole‐school programs in literacy and numeracy, using explicit teaching and differentiated strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
* Proven capacity to collaborate effectively within a leadership team, driving whole‐school initiatives aligned with strategic goals while mentoring and motivating teachers to enhance High Potential Gifted Education (HPGE).
* Demonstrated ability to analyse and use evidence‐based data to inform practices that support student wellbeing, including implementation of proactive behaviour management strategies, fostering positive relationships, and building a safe, inclusive school culture that enhances wellbeing outcomes for all students.
General Selection Criteria
* Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
* Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
