The STEPS Work Mates program provides long-term and personalised employment coaching to youth and adults with a NDIS plan.
Employment Support funding builds a participant's ability and confidence to enter the workforce. No matter where participants are in their employment journey, Work Mates can help every step of the way. It is an established program with a great reputation in the community.
Due to continued growth, we\'re looking for a casual passionate Job Readiness Trainer to join our supportive Aitkenvale Team!
You'll work alongside participants to uncover their strengths, build confidence, and support their journey into meaningful employment. Every day is different, and every success matters.
What You\'ll Be Doing
* Build genuine, trusting relationships with participants
* Support individuals to identify goals and overcome barriers
* Deliver engaging, person-centred job readiness training
* Coach participants in resumes, job searching and interview skills
* Develop confidence, social skills and workplace readiness
* Connect with employers and advocate for participant opportunities
* Track progress and maintain accurate, confidential records
About You
You're someone who truly believes in potential, even when others can't yet see it.
You might come from a background in community services, youth work, employment services or education, but most importantly, you bring:
* A genuine passion for supporting people with disability
* Strong interpersonal skills and natural ability to build rapport
* Creativity and adaptability in your approach
* Confidence engaging with employers and stakeholders
* Attention to detail and ability to manage admin requirements
* A positive, empathetic and solutions-focused mindset
What You Need
* Certificate III (or higher) in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
* Current Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Current Open Driver Licence
