About the opportunity

This is a unique opportunity that goes beyond traditional executive support. You’ll be trusted to anticipate needs, build strong relationships, and keep momentum in a dynamic environment—managing sensitive information with ease.

In this varied, fast‑paced role, you’ll provide high‑quality executive support and coordinate workflow to support the Chief Corporate Officer and the Chief Data and AI Officer, who lead key enabling functions across the Tribunal.

You’ll manage competing priorities, support senior executive decision‑making, and contribute to government, parliamentary and stakeholder liaison activities (including coordinating inputs for Senate Estimates and other Tribunal appearances). You’ll also support projects of operational significance, helping deliver the Tribunal’s corporate and digital uplift.

This role supports flexible work arrangements, with an expectation of at least one regular day per week in the office. When Senior Executive Officers are travelling or working on site, office availability is required to provide direct executive support.

About you

Our ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in executive support, paired with curiosity, adaptability, and the confidence to operate effectively in complex and evolving environments.

You are highly organised and proactive, comfortable working with senior stakeholders and known for exercising sound judgement. You handle sensitive information with discretion and take pride in delivering clear, timely and accurate support.

An interest in, or the ability to quickly learn about, corporate services, data, digital, and AI functions within a government environment will support a smooth transition into the role.

To be successful you will have:

* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, negotiate and work collaboratively to achieve outcomes and manage sensitive issues effectively.
* Well‑developed ability to manage competing and changing priorities in a complex environment, with excellent attention to detail.
* Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly gain knowledge of, the operations, caseload, and legislative and policy framework of the Tribunal.
* Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and approaches and adopt a positive approach to dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity.
