Take on a key clinical leadership role where your experience will support high-quality community health nursing services across the region. As the Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager - Community Health Nursing, you will contribute to the coordination, consistency, and effectiveness of care by supporting service operations, guiding developing clinicians, and promoting best-practice standards. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen continuity of care, contribute to service improvements, and play an integral part in delivering safe, person-centred community nursing. You will support the leadership of the service while building capability, supporting staff, and ensuring care delivery is aligned with organisational goals and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing and/or midwifery services across a range of community health settings, working as a competent to proficient practitioner with consolidated experience.
- Accept accountability for personal practice standards, activities delegated to others, and the guidance and development of less experienced staff.
- Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in leading nurses and midwives within the ward/unit/service.
- Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other AN/MUMs and the Regional Manager Community Nursing (or equivalent).
- Assist the Regional Manager Community Nursing in implementing practice changes, quality initiatives, and service improvements.
- Support management responsibilities including performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, and attendance management.
- Contribute to financial and supplies planning, monitoring, and productive resource use.
- Encourage best-practice, evidence-based care and ensure high standards of safety and quality.

Applicant Information
This is a part time (0.8 FTE) vacancy, working 60.8 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
