What we're looking for
Are you a fantastic disability support worker? Regular shifts, flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and sleepovers. $44.54 p/h weekdays after induction, plus salary packaging (pay less tax).
About us
We're a rapidly scaling, not-for-profit disability support provider that believes in positively transforming the lives of people with disability. In doing so, we aim to create the highest quality agency we can, ideally reshaping the sector as a whole.
This means we often do things differently. Since we began in 2015, we've made it our mission to examine every part of what a support provider does – from how we structure our teams, to how we recruit and roster, to how we ensure the highest quality support, to how technology acts as an enabler for all that we do.
Our clients tell us they notice this difference, and for many it's had a profound impact on their lives. Supporting more than 250 clients across metropolitan and regional Victoria and only continuing to grow, we want the people who join us to also believe disability support should enable a life of independence and dignity.
To do a great job, you'll need:
* Experience supporting people with a physical disability including transfers/use of equipment and confident in hoisting.
* Experience in personal care (showering and dressing).
* Assistance with domestic duties.
* Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives.
* Experience supporting people with an acquired brain injury.
* Great patience and willingness to build rapport with our client.
* Willingness to work with a care team approach and incorporate guidance from professionals, e.g., supporting clients to undertake physiotherapy programs and community access.
* Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn and a commitment to our values.
* Willingness to work varied shifts with early mornings, evenings, weekends, short shifts, sleepovers and active night shifts; ongoing commitment required.
* Full driver's licence and willingness to provide transport in own vehicle when needed (reimbursement of costs).
Benefits
* Great pay and generous benefits.
* Salary packaging for extra take‐home pay.
* Opportunity for career progression – clear path from assistant to key worker.
