About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Roof Tiler to join our team at Shamrock Roof Services in Dandenong, VIC. As a fulltime team member, you will be responsible for the installation and repair of roof tiles on residential and commercial properties, working to the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety. Experience in Slate tiling would be an advantage.
What you'll be doing
* Safely and efficiently install, repair and maintain roof tiles on a variety of building projects
* Prepare roof surfaces by removing old tiles, cleaning and preparing the substrate
* Cut, shape and fit tiles as required to accommodate roof features and fixtures
* Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure smooth project coordination and completion
* Adhere to all relevant building codes, safety regulations and company policies
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
What we're looking for
* Formal qualification in roof tiling, with a minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience
* If you have knowledge in Slate, this would be a great advantage for this role. A higher rate of pay will be offered for highly skilled candidates.
* Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* A keen safety focus and commitment to workplace health and safety
* A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
