Daracon Group, widely recognised for its strong presence in civil construction, established its Rail Division to support short-term contracts servicing rail infrastructure needs across the Hunter Valley. Since then, the division has grown significantly, expanding its capabilities to include track reconditioning and earthworks construction, rail bridge and drainage structures, re-rail, maintenance and track certification services.
The Rail team operates out of the Mount Thorley Depot and is equipped to deliver rail solutions across Australia. While capable of mobilising nationally, the team's core geographic focus aligns with the ARTC Hunter Valley network and key mine sites throughout the Hunter Region.

We are currently seeking a Rail Site Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to the successful delivery of rail projects across the Hunter Valley and regional New South Wales.

Key responsibilities:
* Monitor key construction metrics to ensure project performance targets are achieved
* Ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications
* Support and coordinate procurement and construction activities to meet project timelines
* Maintain accurate project documentation and assist in the identification and assessment of risks and hazards
* Develop and foster relationships with key subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders
To be considered for this role, you will have:
* A degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
* Rail experience is desirable, however not mandatory
* Past experience on civil construction sites. Concrete or bulk earthworks projects would also be welcomed
* Strong organisational skills in order to be and able to manager your time and plan effectively in a fast paced, diverse and ever-changing environment
* The ability to work well as part of a team, and building strong relationships with those around you
* Excellent Proactive attitude towards project health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes
* Class C drivers license
* Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card or ability to obtain
* SafeWork NSW White card
