**About the Role**
This Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physicist Registrar position will report to the Chief Medical Physicist/Radiation Safety Officer. This role will actively participate in tasks to enable Monash Health to be compliant with the Radiation Safety Act, relevant legislation, Australian standards and codes of practice and guidance documents relating to Radiation Safety. Key tasks include;
- actively participate in routine quality assurance, acceptance, and compliance testing of equipment.
- undertake dose estimates for all modalities.
- undertake shielding calculations for all modalities.
- Attend in-house tutorials provided to the Radiology registrars as directed.
- Participate in departmental research projects as directed.
- Progression through ACPSEM TEAP.
A current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle are also required as you will be working across a number of Monash Health sites.
**About You**:
- Bachelor's Degree majoring in Physics
- Eligible to enrol in the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) Radiology or Nuclear Medicine Physics Training Education and Assessment Program (TEAP) for Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics
- Eligibility to obtain a Victorian Radiation Use Licence
- Master's Degree majoring in Medical or Health Physics
