Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Sterilising Technicians (CSSD) to join our team at Epworth Geelong – Waurn Ponds on a casual basis. The role involves infection prevention, sterilisation and distribution of reusable medical devices and equipment, supporting the theatre team and maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Collect, clean, decontaminate, inspect, test, package, sterilise, store and distribute reusable medical devices and equipment.
* Maintain efficient workflow in the CSSD department.
* Promote and adhere to required standards, quality activities, policies and procedures.
* Support infection prevention and control practices and workplace OHS requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or equivalent.
* Proven CSSD experience, including scopes and surgical loan instrument reprocessing.
* Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices applicable to sterilising services.
* Proficiency in workplace OHS requirements for sterilising services.
* Effective communication, listening and patient‐centred care orientation.
Compensation
Annual salary range AUD $59,014 to $73,037 + super, prorated for part‐time.
Location & Hours
Epworth Geelong – Waurn Ponds, Geelong, Victoria. Casual basis.
