Reporting to the Head of Finance - Multi Class Sustainment, the Finance Manager - LOTE will lead financial management and analysis for a large, complex Defence program. You'll partner with senior leaders and the Commonwealth customer to ensure robust reporting, compliance and commercial outcomes. Responsibilities
- Lead the financial management of the LOTE program, ensuring accuracy and integrity across reporting, forecasting and financial controls
- Oversee month‑end, budgeting, invoicing, and EAC reviews, ensuring compliance with internal governance and Defence requirements
- Manage labour rates, overheads, pricing, escalation and foreign currency components within the contract
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders and the Commonwealth customer, providing strategic financial advice and analysis
- Support commercial decision‑making by translating complex financial data into clear insights
- Lead a small, capable team of Project Accountants, providing direction, mentorship and accountability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems, reporting and financial processes
- Support bid, pricing and audit activities, ensuring strong financial governance
- Build trusted relationships across ASC and the customer interface, supporting transparency and collaboration
- Contribute to wider finance initiatives across ASC's Multi Class Sustainment portfolio
Candidate Profile
You will be an accomplished finance leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to operate in a complex, evolving environment. You combine financial acumen with commercial insight and people leadership, enabling you to influence outcomes and support program success.
Specifically, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting, with full CA/CPA/CIMA membership
- Broad finance management experience within a medium to large or complex organisation
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder and customer relationships with confidence and credibility
- Experience leading and developing a small team to deliver high performance
- Strong analytical, reporting and problem‑solving capability, with attention to detail and accuracy
- A proactive, resilient mindset and ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment
- Defence sector or project experience is advantageous
