Risk Management Professional
Orange City Council is seeking a skilled Risk Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of risk across the business.
* Develop and implement enterprise-wide risk management strategies, working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks.
* Maintain and enhance our risk management systems, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and aligned with best practice.
* Advise stakeholders on risk-related matters, providing expert guidance and support to ensure informed decision-making.
* Lead risk-related training and engagement initiatives, promoting a culture of risk awareness and understanding throughout the organization.
* Report regularly to senior leadership and the Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Key qualifications include:
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in risk management, preferably in a local government setting.
* Knowledge of ISO 31000:2018 and relevant legislation, with the ability to apply this expertise in a practical context.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse groups.
* Proven ability to lead change and deliver strategic outcomes, driving continuous improvement and supporting organizational growth.
