The Role
The Medical Workforce Unit at St George Hospital, Kogarah is seeking a motivated individual to join our refreshed recruitment team as a Medical Workforce Recruitment Officer. This is a fast‐paced and varied role which will expose you to many aspects of Medical Workforce operations at a large tertiary hospital. It is a great grounding for a future career in health administration, recruitment or human resource management. The department supports our junior doctors from the beginning of their careers through to completion of their advanced training.
You will be responsible for processing junior medical recruitment episodes in our recruitment and onboarding system and making the process as seamless as possible for our convenors and candidates. An understanding of or experience within NSW Health or other public health sector recruitment (especially medical recruitment and recruitment systems) will be an advantage, as will experience or understanding of doctors, internal recruitment and/or agency recruitment. Whilst this initial appointment is for a 13 week period, there is potential for extension.
An eligibility list will be created for future permanent and temporary full and part time positions.

Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated experience in health sector recruitment with experience with Junior Medical Officers desirable.
* Demonstrated time management skills, data entry accuracy and ability to organise & prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines in a high volume and high pressure environment.
* Experience delivering exceptional customer service across different levels of the organisation.
* Ability to proactively manage self including an understanding of own capabilities, identifying barriers or potential risks and escalating as required.
* Demonstrated analytical and problem‐solving skills with the ability to initiate practical solutions.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Demonstrated experience and ability in computer‐based software packages, such as ROB, StaffLink and Microsoft Office products (MSTeams, Word and Excel).
