The Role
The APS 5 Officer Training Wing (OTW) Administration Supervisor is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to have and maintain a well-developed understanding of and compliance to, relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements. We are looking for someone with strong leadership and management skills, attention to detail, and who can communicate in a highly effective manner. You will be required to manage staff, direct priorities, meet deadlines and exercise discretion.
As the Administration Supervisor you will interpret policy, legislation, procedures and provide administrative support, guidance and advice to the work area. You will also coordinate administrative assistance to personnel, including transfers and trainee management analysis and recording. This is a desk-based position involving computer use and leading working with others towards shared goals in a collaborative team environment.
About our Team
The OTW Administration Supervisor will work in an integrated work environment and will be responsible for a small team at the Land Warfare Centre (LWC) - Canungra. They will be required to engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes on behalf of the Unit to meet the mission of achieving the Directed Training Requirement (DTR) within the All Corps Foundation Officer Training Continuum.
They will be required to coordinate and contribute to the work of the team, while also coaching and/or supervising their team, being accountable, setting work priorities, and managing workflows and performance. They will need to work integrally as part of the HQ LWC team working with other APS members as well as junior and senior Army personnel. They are expected to be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others and identifying opportunities for on-the-job training within their work area.

The ideal candidate should be able to follow established policies and procedures to resolve a range of predictable and unpredictable scenarios. Experience in small team leadership would be a distinct advantage. The candidate will hold or have the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.

Eligibility
Security Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at "Negative Vetting Level 1".
