Dual Rated SAR Winch Operator/ Rescue Crewperson

We are a safe, efficient and quality-focused operator, and we are looking for an experienced SAR Technical Crewperson to join our dynamic growing team as an AWSAR Winch Operator / Rescue Crewperson. Reporting to the SAR Chief Crewperson, you will play a pivotal role in the Flight Operations department and the Company as a whole.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring the aircraft is prepared for SAR operations before each flight.
* Dispatching stores, pyrotechnics or air‐droppable life rafts.
* Ensuring that cabin occupants and equipment are secured.
* Conducting the rescue/recovery of personnel while deployed on the aircraft winch.
* Ensuring all SAR equipment is set‐up, functioning and secure prior to and during flight.
* Conducting cabin management and aircraft clearances.
* Providing any first aid requirements to rescued personnel.
* Assisting the aircraft Captain with the operational decision‐making process.
* Operating the hoist and directing aircraft movement during the winching phase.
* Assisting the captain with aircraft clearances and positioning during remote‐site landings.
* Assisting with the towing, equipping and husbandry of the aircraft.
* Assisting with the inspection, servicing and upkeep of SAR role equipment.
* Other duties as required by the Senior Base Pilot / SAR Chief Crewperson to assist with the daily operation of the Broome Base.

Essential Qualifications
* Minimum 500 flight hours as Helicopter Technical Crew
* Minimum 50 flight hours as SAR Technical Crew
Desirable Qualifications
* Previous SAR S92A operating experience
* CASA Class 2 Aviation medical
* TBOSIET
* Advanced First Aid Training
* Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate
