Job Description
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, and dbt.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
Optimise existing data architectures to improve performance and reliability.
Implement robust data governance practices to ensure data quality and security.
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Support the integration of recent data sources into existing systems.
Document processes, workflows, and system configurations for future reference.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members where required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Data Engineer (Contract) should have:
Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, and dbt.
A solid understanding of data modelling and ETL processes.
Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
Experience working in cloud-based data environments.
An analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A background in the business services industry is advantageous but not essential.
