FGI Mining is seeking a high-calibre General Manager to lead our operations across project sites nationally and internationally. About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of operational performance, financial outcomes, and strategic leadership across all mining projects.
This role requires a leader who is equally comfortable in the boardroom and on-site, capable of steering long-term strategy while maintaining a strong operational pulse.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across all projects
* Drive profitability, performance, and continuous improvement
* Lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams across multiple sites
* Strengthen and grow key client and stakeholder relationships
* Ensure full compliance with WHS, environmental and legislative requirements
* Oversee project delivery, risk management, and commercial outcomes
* Identify and pursue new business and growth opportunities
* Champion a safety-first, high-performance culture
About You
You are a results-driven leader with a strong reputation for delivering outcomes in complex mining or civil environments.
* Proven experience in a General Manager / Senior Operations Leadership role
* Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated financial accountability
* Deep understanding of mining operations, contracts, and project delivery
* Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to balance strategic direction with hands‐on operational oversight
* Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
* Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Mining, Business or similar (desirable)
