Dugald River Mine is one of the world's top 10 Zinc mine operations, which has been producing zinc concentrate for customers around the world since ****.

In April **** the Dugald River Solar Farm began operations, supplying a third of the mine's power, and reducing emissions by 33% and this is just the start of its renewable energy transition.
Dugald River employs around 750 employees and contractors on a mix of fly-in, fly-out and local residential basis.
Mine Geologist We are currently seeking a Mine Geologist to provide day to day underground mine geological services to the mining operation, including core logging; face and backs mapping; stockpile inspections; ROM inspections; stope inspections; stope notes; grade tracking; and reconciliation of producing stopes and collation of data in preparation for resource estimation.
This role will report to a Senior Geologist.
Offered on an 8/6 roster; drive in drive out (DIDO) from Cloncurry or Mt Isa or fly in fly out (FIFO) from Townsville or Brisbane.
Competencies, qualifications, and skills: Committed to workplace safety with expertise in fostering safety cultures; holds tertiary qualifications in Geology and an Australian manual class driver's licence.
Proficient in underground mapping, sampling methods, geological interpretation, and basic drilling techniques, with demonstrated underground geology experience.
Capable of managing core processing and directing field technicians; strong technical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain positive relationships across all operational levels, skilled in MS Office and knowledgeable in 3D mining software and database systems.
Experience with Vulcan and Leapfrog Geo highly regarded.
Key responsibilities will include: Core logging and processing.
Underground inspections.
Validation of geological data.
Mapping and interpretation for inclusion in geological models.
Developing and updating stope notes.
Daily maintenance of grade control data management and reporting.
Assist in regular geological reports in material movement reconciliations.
